I hope to have some fun pictures to post of our Easter weekend this year! We are going to Grandpa & Grandma Poppe's. It would be great if the nice weather would keep up so the boys can play outside. Carson loves playing in the sandbox and Ethan is all into basketball right now.

Swimming is fun!

The boys got to go swimming this last weekend. I figured Carson would like it since he loves bathtime...and he sure did! I think he would have stayed in the pool for quite awhile, but it was a little chilly so he started to get cold. Ethan had fun too, especially since his cousin Kristen was there to swim with him! I am hoping the swimming lessons coming up will teach him quite a bit so he can learn to swim by himself. I think there will be lots of trips to the pool for us this summer!

Think Spring!

Is it just me, or has this winter been LONG? I am ready for some nice spring weather. The kids NEED to play outside. Every morning on the way to pre-school Ethan asks me when the snow is going to melt...and everyday I say hopefully SOON!

The kids have been sick a lot, so that has made winter longer too. Everyone in our household has a cold that never seems to go away.

Ethan will be starting swimming lessons at MSU in a few weeks, he will go once a week. I picked MSU because they will have 3 kids to one teacher, I think that will help him learn faster. I know he will be excited to go swimming! In the past few months, Ethan has also become more interested in writing his letters and numbers and loves to copy words out of books. He also got to go ice fishing with Grandpa Brian a few weekends ago, he had been wanting to do that all winter. One day he told me that him and Grandpa should go ice fishing in Antartica. ha!

Carson is just funny. He doesn't say to many words, but always finds a way to get what he wants! When you ask him if he wants something he shakes his head yes or no. When it's time to eat he runs over to his high chair and shakes the chair. When he is full, he is very good at throwing his food across the room or rubbing it in his hair. Not sure why he does that, it's always fun picking food out of his hair. He is good at throwing fits when he doesn't get what he wants and he still hits his brother quite often. Never a dull moment in our household. :)

I haven't taken to many pictures lately, or been good about updating the blog. But when I go to long I have a sister who reminds me that she is anxiously awaiting updates! So this one was especially for you Shannon. :)

Little Friends

I love putting up pictures of the kids with their little friends. I have mentioned before how fun I think it is to watch all the little ones play together!

This is our newest little friend, Jack Will (and his sister Aubrey in the background). So cute! It brings back memories of when Ethan always wanted to hold Carson. Aww.

Ethan had hearts painted on his cheeks for Valentine's Day, in case anyone was wondering what is on his face. :)

So, I will continue to take lots of pictures of the kids with all their friends...it's already fun to look back at them and there will only be more fun to come!

Brotherly Love

It is fun to watch how much Carson likes to do what his brother is doing. If we are playing catch, Carson always wants in...if Ethan is playing with a toy, Carson always wants it. Ethan has trouble with this sometimes, but he tries to include his little brother. Sometimes he just forgets that Carson is little and he can't push him over purposely or tackle him. But I think this has made Carson a pretty tough little boy, he rarely cries if Ethan does something to him. Most of the time he laughs. Which doesn't really help when trying to teach Ethan he needs to be less rough! (Ethan always says: "But MOM, he likes it!") There have also been many times when Carson smacks Ethan over the head with a toy or goes after him with a plastic golf club. He seems to get his revenge even though he doesn't realize it. Which makes me think that Ethan might have to watch out in the future! :)

A little of this, a little of that.....

Not to much has been going on lately in our household! The kids are doing good, staying healthy for the most part. Carson has had a bad cough this last week and ended up having to use an inhaler...I am sure you can imagine how much he LOVES that. But he has gotten much better in the past few days.

Pre-school is still going well for Ethan. Last week he got in trouble for telling another kid he was going to beat him up. Sometimes it's hard not to laugh when I see those kinds of things written on his daily report. They have a system at his school where their names are put on the board at the beginning of the day and then they basically get 3 warnings before their names get erased. Or if they do something really naughty (like telling someone you are going to beat them up) they get their name erased instantly. So when Ethan gets his name erased he can't have his Wii time when he gets home. It usually happens about once per week.

He has his funny moments at pre-school too. A few days ago when one of Ethan's little girl-friends came to school she walked into the room and Ethan said "Hey Gorgeous!!" to her. hahaha. His teacher said they all got a pretty good laugh out of that. Oh Ethan. :)

Ethan has really enjoyed playing outside in the snow, he just always wishes he had someone to play with him so he doesn't usually last very long if he goes out by himself. One of the times we got a dusting of snow, he shovled the whole driveway just because he wanted to!

This is what happens when mommy is talking on the phone while holding Carson while standing against the counter with an open box of KIX cereal right behind me. Carson really enjoyed eating, throwing and crushing the cereal while I tried to clean it up!! :)
