Carson's Third Tube Surgery!

Yestserday Carson had his 3rd set of tubes put in plus his adenoids out. The tubes are permanent and should last 2 years. Let's hope they work this time! This surgery was a little harder on him. He got sick after he came of surgery and just seemed a lot more out of it and groggy. He slept a lot yesterday and seems to be doing better today. Although, I think he is getting a cold now and is coughing a lot. So it's just been a rough couple of days for the poor little guy. Before the surgery I took the same wagon picture as I have in the past, he looks so big! He was happy to ride around in the wagon and thought his tiger hospital gown was pretty neat. When the nurse wheeled him back to the surgery room I heard him say "Where did Mommy go?" Aww. But there were no tears, thank goodness.

Mall of America

Ethan and I went to the Mall of America with Shannon, Keisha, Keisha's friend Vito, and Grandma Renee. It was a super fun day! The kids went on rollercoasters and other fun rides at the Nickelodean Universe, then we went to the Sea Life Aquarium. That was really neat, I would reccomend it to anyone who is going to the mall. I would like to go back again someday, I think Carson would really like it too. We walked around and shopped a little bit...and most importantly, we hit Lego Land before we left. Ethan is really into Lego's, so he was excited to pick out a few things. It was so nice to have a day off of work to do something fun with family.

Spring is just around the corner

We haven't been up to much lately! A few weeks ago Ethan was "beach buddy" in his class. We made a poster about him that hung in his class and he got to take his favorite things to show his friends. He also brought this monkey home and we had to write about what him and the monkey did for the week. It was fun. The glasses and beach towel came along with the monkey. Carson wanted to try the glasses on too. :) Ethan is going to be starting swimming lessons again next week. We need to get ready for summer so that he can swim all by himself, he is almost there. We can't wait for nicer weather. It will be so nice when we can ride bike, go to the park, play ball outside and pretty much any other nice weather activity you can think of!!

Children's Museum

Last Saturday we took the boys to the Children's Museum in Mankato. They had a great time! The main attraction is a tape maze type thing. It's pretty cool. That is where they spent most of their time. They would venture off and try something else for a few minutes, but they always came back to the tape thing. They could run, bounce and slide all around. It was a fun way to start out a Saturday!

100

Today is Ethan's 100th day of school. Their project was to bring 100 of something to school. So we used cheerios. He counted out 100 cheerios and then we glued them to a peice of paper. I just thought it was so cool that he could count to 100 by himself! He was pretty proud of his little project. :)

Sickly

Is it spring yet? This last week has been long. The kids have been sick and we haven't really been anywhere or been able to get outside. We had been really fortunate for most of the winter and no one had really been sick. So I guess we must have had it coming! I haven't been taking any pictures or had anything new to post! This picture is from awhile back, but it represents what the kids have mostly been doing for the past week/weekend! Can't wait until we can get outside to play at night after work and on the weekends to burn off some of the crazy kid energy that our two sweet boys have. :)

Friends

Shortly after Christmas Margo and April came over to hang out at our house. It was a fun afternoon, the girls got to catch up and the boys (and dogs) got to play together! We learned that our cat Peppy really does not appreciate having dogs in his house and that April likes to encourage my kids to put her dog Bailey in small spaces (like Ethan's barn and laundry basket). Carson, Owen and Ethan had fun playing trains and watching Toy Story. It was a good day, I wish we all got to hang out more often!
