Preschool graduation

This past Friday we had Ethan's preschool graduation. It was so cute and a little sad! It's hard to picture him going off to kindergarten this fall. He will be at Bethlehem Lutheran for a few more weeks and then he will be starting Kids Connection in St. Clair. After his little graduation he said that he will miss his friends at Bethlehem, it was a good place for him to be this past year. He learned a lot and I think it really helped him prepare for school.

Cruisin in the Gator

Ethan has always loved driving his gator around outside, now he has a passenger to join him. This doesn't always make Ethan happy, but most of the time he is okay with it. If the gator is parked in the garage Carson will go and sit on the passenger seat and pat the drivers seat to let Ethan know he wants a ride. Carson holds tight onto the handle in front of him and off they go! It's fun to watch them do things like this together.

The next Joe Mauer?

Hey, we can dream can't we? Carson has taken a big interest in the bat, ball and glove. Everytime we go outside he goes straight for that bat. He walks around so proudly with it on his shoulder (and is not happy when it's Ethan's turn to play with it!) If you pitch the ball to him he will make an attempt to swing at it and he tries to put the glove on to play catch. We also have a batting helmet that he puts on his head too. It is all just so cute. And it has all come from watching his big brother!

Carson will be 18 months old on the 29th...can you believe it!??

Swimming Lessons

I finally remembered to take my camera to swimming lessons! Ethan has had 5 sessions of swimming lessons, next week is his last week. He is doing very well! I would guess by this summer he will be able to swim by himself. I think we are going to put him in Kids Connection at the St. Clair school. They will take him to swimming lessons plus they go to the pool just for fun a few times per week. They also get to go to a Twin's game at the new stadium and other field trips. I hope it is fun for him!

Sunday Fun-Day

What a nice weekend! Ethan was worn out on Sunday night from all of the playing outside. The first thing he asked Grandpa to do when we got to their house on Friday night was get the basketball hoop out...and he did, of course. Ethan got to dye Easter eggs on Saturday afternoon. The Easter bunny came on Sunday morning, he decided to hide eggs inside the house...good thing...because Ethan decided to wake up at about 5:45 a.m. and I wouldn't have wanted to search for eggs outside at that time! So he had fun finding his basket and searching for eggs around the house. Carson found one egg, sat on the floor and played with it and kept saying "ball" over and over. Easily entertained. :) I failed to take pictures of them with their Easter baskets...my mind wasn't focused on getting the camera out that early in the morning! Ethan, my mom and I went to church and then had an Easter brunch afterwards. The kids had fun playing outside in the sandbox and riding around on the golf cart. You even get to see a rare family pic of Jarred and I and the boys! Usually we try to stay out of pictures, which we need to get better about...because it's fun to have pictures of us and the kids too.

I hope to have some fun pictures to post of our Easter weekend this year! We are going to Grandpa & Grandma Poppe's. It would be great if the nice weather would keep up so the boys can play outside. Carson loves playing in the sandbox and Ethan is all into basketball right now.
