Basketball

Ethan started basketball last Saturday at the St. Clair School. He had a lot of fun and did really well! Hopefully we can get a basketball hoop up in our driveway this summer so he can do some practicing.

Family

Over Thanksgiving Shannon, Steve & Keisha came home. We went down to Fairmont Tuesday-Saturday night of that week. It was nice to spend time together! It was a full house. :) Wish we could see them more often!

Ethan with Benji & Stewart...Ethan kept closing his eyes in the pictures, so I told him to keep his eyes wide open...and he sure did!

I would love to post the whole series of pictures from when we tried to get the kids with grandma and grandpa. It is quite funny. There isn't one where everyone is looking, it's impossible to get Ethan and Carson to sit still. I can't tell if Carson is crying or laughing in this one! Oh well, we will try again next time. :)

Toy Story

Someone in our house has an obsession with Toy Story.

I think we all have the movies memorized by now. For Christmas Carson got some of the Toy Story figurines, movies, pajammas, and cutest of all-cowboy boot slippers! I am a little concerned that he is SO into the movies, but I remember Ethan was completely into Cars when he was about this age, and it eventually passed. :)

Snowy Days

Birthday Parties

Ethan had a fun birthday weekend. On Saturday the 4th he got to go swimming at the Lake Crystal Rec Center with two of his friends. We got there for open swim and there was no one there! They had the pool to themselves for about a half hour. The played basketball and went down the big slide about 100 times, the 3 of them got along great! Afterwards we went back to our house, they had cake and ice cream and played a bit. On Sunday the 5th we had family and friends over to our house for the Vikings game and lunch. It was a good weekend.

Ethan is 6

You are 6 years old! Wow. I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday! We went to the hospital in the middle of the night and you finally decided to make your appearance at 4:05 p.m. on December 5th, 17 hours after we arrived at the hospital! It was mommy and daddy's 1 year anniversary...you were the perfect gift! Now you are in kindergarten, time has gone by so fast. One of my favorite things to do each week is look through all of your work that you have done in your class. It is fun to see that you are learning a lot and doing very well in school. You are recognizing words and writing sentences. Pretty soon you will be reading! For your 6th birthday we went swimming at the Lake Crystal Rec Center with two of your little buddies. We also had a birthday party for you with family and close friends. You got a lot of fun presents, what a lucky boy! :) Mommy, Daddy and Carson love you to the moon and back....Happy Birthday Ethan.

Winter is here!

It's cold out. I figured it was the perfect day to put up some pictures of the kids playing in the snow! This snowstorm was a few weeks ago. It was very heavy snow, but it was so pretty that morning! Ethan couldn't wait to get outside. He is at the age now where playing out in the snow is fun and he stays out for more then 10 minutes. Carson however...doesn't last very long. He wants to go outside so bad, but then he hates it after about 5 minutes. He is getting better, but he really doesn't like having all of the winter gear on. Ethan and I made a nice little snowman that day. I thought it was pretty cute, until I drove around town the next day and saw all of these huge life size snowmen that everyone else built with their kids. Guess I better work on my snowman buidling skills for next time around. :)
