Spring is in the air!

I went for a walk during lunch yesterday outside and saw daffodils and other flowers starting to bloom already! I can't wait to buy flowers and plant my garden. I also look forward to playing outside with the boys after work and going for walks!!

Easter was actually a pretty relaxing weekend for us. The boys and I went down to Fairmont Friday night to have Easter a little early. Ethan dyed some Easter eggs and got to play outside with Grandpa and Grandma all day long on Saturday. Jarred was gone for a few days on his golf trip to Navoo, he came back on Saturday night. On Easter Sunday we went to church, relaxed the rest of the day and then Jarred's mom and Ron brought supper over to us. Usually we are on the go trying to go everywhere for holidays, so this was kind of nice!

Baptism

Baptism went great! Carson did good in church and we had a good turn out of family and friends at the house after church. I was all concerned about not having enough food, and everything turned out just fine. Thanks to everyone that helped me out! Our time hanging out with Shannon, Steve and Keisha went by really fast, but it was fun. Keisha and Ethan had fun playing together. My only regret for the whole weekend was not taking enough pictures, good thing Shannon had her camera out. There are a few pictures of us in front of the church that I don't have yet, so I will make sure to post those when I get them. (But only if I approve of how I look in them. haha.)

Not much else has been going on. I took Carson to the doctor on Saturday morning because I thought maybe he had an ear infection (he doesn't) and he weighs 18 pounds! Wow! I will be lucky if any of the summer clothes I had from Ethan fit him.

Hopefully the weather forecast is right and it will actually be in the 50's this week! For the last couple of years I have wanted to hide Easter eggs outside for Ethan, but it's always been to cold. Maybe this year it will work out!

Carson and Aubrey are going to be playing together before we know it, it's already cute to watch them together. Aubrey is going in for a kiss in this picture!!

Busy week ahead....

We have baptism coming up this weekend! We are excited because we finally get to see Shannon, Steve & Keisha. It should be a fun/busy weekend. I have lots of errands and cleaning to do, I wish I had the whole week off of work to get things done! Jarred has been working hard to get the bathroom usable by Sunday, it looks really good! It doesn't sound like the weather is going to be very warm, I wish it was going to be like last Saturday...that was great.

Ethan is done with his sports class now, Grandpa and Grandma Poppe came to watch him on Monday, they played t-ball. Ethan was happy to have them come and watch.

A Little Hockey?

Ethan played floor hockey at the Y on Monday night. It was pretty funny to watch those kids try and run around with the stick, amazingly no one got injured! They did have to wear big goggles as you will notice in the picture.

He also had his Early Childhood screening last Friday, he did great! We just have to work on recognizing letters and numbers. The screening was in the school and it was kind of crazy thinking that in a year and a half Ethan will be going to kindergarten there! He is growing up so fast.

Time to play outside!

Just a few pictures from the nice day yesterday. Ethan was happy to be able to play in his sandbox! He rode his bike a little bit and we went for a short walk. The fresh air felt good!

Wishing for warmer weather

We had fun visting April at her new house last weekend, even though I was worried the whole time about weather, and it really didn't even end up doing anything! Anyway, we did a little shopping (found a cute outfit for Carson's baptism!), went for a walk to get some fresh air and let Ethan burn off some energy. Instead of going out for supper we ordered some really good pizza, much easier then going to a restaurant. It is definitely a lot more work for me carting 2 kids to the cities, and driving up there just makes me nervous in general! It makes me thankful for small towns.

I was going through pictures and came across this one of Ethan when his hair was longer!

It makes me miss it like that. Shaving his head is easier and cheaper since I can do it...but I love his cute blonde hair. We will probably have to grow it out again (sorry daddy!). I bought a new shaver and it came with an instructional DVD on how to cut hair, maybe I can try and teach myself how to cut it the way it used to be! If I screw up, I can always shave it off. :)

On Saturday Margo, Mark & Owen are coming to hang out with us, I am excited to see them! Mark is going to help Jarred lay tile in our bathroom in the basement. We are getting closer to getting it done, it will be nice to be able to use it now that our bedroom is down there.

Tomorrow morning I am taking Ethan to pre-school screening. I hope it goes well!

When we were driving up to the cities on Saturday morning out of no where Ethan said: "Mommy, I wish it was summer so I could play outside!". Me to Ethan...and I am sure everyone else feels the same way! So lets hope it warms up soon.

Carson LOVES his rice cereal, I guess he was ready to try it because he gobbles it right up.

He had his 4 month doctor appointment yesterday. He weighed 15 pounds 6 ounces and was 25 inches long. Both put him around the 60-70th percentile. He is growing good! He has also started giggling...I love that sound.

I have a hard time getting Ethan to let me take new pictures of him, maybe next week I can sneak in a few pictures of him playing sports at the Y. Lastnight they played kickball, it was kind of chaotic but Ethan had fun and didn't want to leave.

This weekend the kids and I are going to visit April at her new house! We will probably sneak in a little shopping and go somewhere fun to eat. Or maybe April should cook for us!! :)
